  • People often describe Dr. Preeti Aneja not just as a counsellor, but as a true problem solver. She delves into the root causes of a
child’s behaviour, carefully studies their patterns, and provides accurate diagnosis before beginning treatment with her most
    powerful tool counselling.

Her specialty lies in offering purely counselling-based solutions without the use of medication, focusing instead on guiding
children and families toward lasting change. With her approach, she works on the overall development and holistic well-being of
each patient, addressing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges with compassion and expertise.

  • A 13-year-old child showing severe mood swings was initially suspected of bipolar disorder. Through continuous sessions
with both the child and parents, Dr. Preeti identified the real root cause—constant comparisons with the elder sibling had led to
frustration, inferiority complex, and aggression. With a series of counselling sessions, CBT therapy, and guidance for both parents
and siblings, the child showed remarkable improvement. Within 7 months of online sessions, the child regained emotional
balance and confidence. The family was also provided with a 6-month DIY maintenance plan to ensure long-term independence.

Case Example – Anxiety in a Child
A 12-year-old child began experiencing severe anxiety, especially in social settings such as school presentations and
group activities. Parents initially mistook this for shyness, but over time the child developed avoidance behaviors,
frequent stomach aches, and restlessness. After a series of online consultations, Dr. Preeti identified the underlying issue:
performance anxiety and fear of negative evaluation, reinforced by subtle parental pressure for academic excellence.
With structured counselling, relaxation techniques, CBT-based interventions, and gradual exposure exercises, the child
started regaining confidence. Within 5 months, noticeable changes were seen—reduced physical symptoms, improved
classroom participation, and a more relaxed approach towards exams. The family was also trained with a 4-month self
help toolkit to manage future stressors independently.

Case Example – Stammering in a Child
A 10-year-old child struggled with persistent stammering, which worsened during school recitations and peer
interactions. The speech issue soon led to teasing and bullying, causing the child to withdraw socially and develop low
self-esteem. Dr. Preeti conducted joint sessions with the child and parents to uncover the root triggers—fear of speaking
under pressure and constant corrections at home that heightened the child’s insecurity. With a blended approach of
speech therapy techniques, relaxation training, and confidence-building exercises, progress became evident. Parents
were counselled to create a supportive, non-judgmental communication environment. Over a period of 8 months of
regular online sessions, the child significantly reduced stammering frequency, improved fluency in everyday
conversation, and regained social confidence. The family received a 6-month structured follow-up plan to sustain
    progress.

Case Example – Bullying in a Child
An 11-year-old child started showing signs of withdrawal, irritability, and declining academic performance. The parents
discovered that the child was being bullied at school, which had led to low self-esteem, fear of attending classes, and frequent
nightmares. Dr. Preeti conducted a series of online sessions with both the child and parents to address emotional distress and
develop coping strategies. Through cognitive-behavioral techniques, assertiveness training, and role-playing exercises, the child
gradually learned to manage fear, respond confidently, and rebuild self-esteem. The parents were guided on creating a
supportive home environment and liaising effectively with school authorities. Within 6 months, the child regained emotional
stability, reported reduced anxiety about school, and actively participated in classroom and social activities. A 5-month DIY
maintenance plan was provided to the family to ensure long-term resilience and confidence.

  •  During the pandemic, a mother from Panipat (Haryana) contacted Dr. Preeti regarding her son, who had been fearful for a
month, refusing to attend school, and avoiding interaction—even with his mother. The father, affected by paralysis, could not
travel to Mumbai. In special situations like this, Dr. Preeti provides home consultations. She traveled to Panipat and conducted
an intensive 3-day on-site assessment. During this period, she held 8–10 sessions with the child, his mother, and a close friend,
alongside her ongoing online professional sessions. Through these combined efforts, including targeted therapies (initially
offline, later online), the child’s fear and withdrawal were successfully addressed over 15–20 subsequent online sessions. Dr.
Preeti revisited after three months and guided the family with a 2-month structured maintenance program to ensure sustained
    progress.
